At Hopkins Eye Center, we are pride to provide eye care to Greenville and the surrounding area. But beyond providing eye exams, eyeglasses and more to the community, we are also proud members of the Greenville community. Our eye doctors and staff love seeing the attractions and landmarks that can be found all over Greenville! Our eye doctors and eye care staff share some of their favorites below:
- One of our Optometrists, Dr. Joe Hopkins, is a big fan of the Greenville County Museum of Art. This incredible museum has many treats for the appreciative eye! Specializing in American art, with an emphasis on southern perspectives, the museum sports an impressive collection that includes famous pieces from artists such as Andrew Wyeth and Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keeffe, and others.
- Our eye care staff is also fond of Falls Park on the Reedy! This regional park is located in the West End of Greenville, boasts many gardens and waterfalls, as well as a pedestrian suspension bridge overlooking the Reedy River, known as the Liberty Bridge. Liberty Bridge, in itself, is also unique, due to its European-style geometric design, which is one-of-a-kind in the United States.
- For those of our optometric patients that have a theatrical bent, Greenville also hosts the The Upstate Shakespeare Festival, which performs Shakespeare and other classical plays in Falls Park each summer!
